Stuff

Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says. “…many other exposés of scientific developments, the one given here does…” [from The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene]

Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first? straight ahead or sideways? Nothing… but if I turn a little to the right, I touch a big stack of bills and other paperwork (yuck).

What is the last thing you watched on TV? JoJo’s Circus. Damn Disney for making clowns tolerable.

With the exception of the computer, what can you hear? Chattering, Roly Poly Olie coming from the other room, and meowing.

When did you last step outside? Last night… to put the cover back on Mr. Turtle.

Before you came to this website, what did you look at? I signed up for the MT public beta. Thanks to Kristine for the reminder. :)

What are you wearing? Jeans, with the cuffs rolled up and a white cotton camisole.

Did you dream last night? Yes.

When did you last laugh? Last night when Madison made me change “The Little Red Hen” to “The Little Green Poop.” The way she laughed when I said it made me laugh, too.

What is on the walls of the room you are in? Framed dragon posters.

Sometimes Tourists Piss Me Off…

Posted by Heather On April - 19 - 2004

I think they leave their brains at home. ;)

I’m driving into Monterey yesterday afternoon, and this tourist in a minivan cuts me off. Well, he’s not sure where he’s going, so he changes lanes, speeds up, and then cuts me off again. Then it happens again! Every time, I say to myself, “Geez, this guy’s a pain in the butt.” I guess he knows it, too… he had this sign in his rear window:

Spaghetti Pie

Posted by Heather On April - 15 - 2004

4 ounces spaghetti
1 beaten egg
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup cream-style cottage cheese (or Ricotta)
1 beaten egg
1/2 pound ground beef or bulk Italian sausage
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
3/4 cup spaghetti sauce
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (2 ounces)

For crust, cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain. Combine 1 egg, Parmesan cheese, and margarine. Stir in hot spaghetti. Press mixture evenly into bottom and up sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Drain cottage cheese; combine with 1 egg. Spread over crust. Set aside. In a large skillet cook meat, onion, and green pepper till meat is brown. Drain fat. Stir in spaghetti sauce. Heat through. Spoon over cottage cheese mixture. Bake in a 350˚ oven 20 minutes. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake about 5 minutes more or till cheese melts and crust sets. Let stand 5 minutes. Cut into wedges. Serves 4 or 5.

Some Random Thoughts…

Posted by Heather On April - 13 - 2004

You might have too many songs on your playlist if you have to do a Google search to find what you’re looking for.

I saw this sticker on somebody’s car and it made me laugh.

WTF?

I should probably be asleep right now.
