30 Days of…
Day 02 — Your favorite movie
This one is almost as difficult to answer as what my favorite song is…. so, I’m going to avoid the question by sharing movies that I’ve seen ten times or more.
Y’all knew I was gonna say this one, am I right? I had the entire script of Monty Python and the Holy Grail memorized at one point.
I like Monty Python’s Life of Brian just as much as Holy Grail. Brilliant.
Wall-E is one of the best movies of all time, in my opinion. I’ve seen it more than 30 times. The detail in the Blu-Ray version is incredible.
If I had to choose a favorite movie it would be Harold and Maude. I love everything about it. Cat Stevens ftw.
Sixteen Candles is another one I’ve seen so many times that I have the script memorized. My favorite of all the John Hughes movies.
Idiocracy. No one portrays stupidity like Mike Judge. He’s brilliant, and so is this movie.
Bullitt – Possibly the best car chase scene ever done.
Eleven years later, I still think The Matrix is cool.
I like all the Indiana Jones movies, with the exception of The Crystal Skull (bleccch), but Raiders of the Lost Ark is my favorite.
Bad Dreams is one of my favorite horror movies.
Star Wars Trilogy (IV, V & VI, duh).
I saw E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial in the theater when it came out. I loved it so much that I saw it two more times. I considered it my favorite movie ever at the time. I was even inspired to write a book called Milly’s Adventures on Earth, which I think I scanned. Maybe I’ll post it some day.
Okay, I know I’m leaving a lot out and I could go on and on and on, especially with the seventies and sci-fi movies, but I’ll stop here.
